"When they now rise from the ashes is it as a better version of themselves. The thin punk sound is richer and the energy doubled. Particularly the songs are at another level than before. The new High Hats almost always choose the smarter chord and give the melodies it rightful space.

Often they sound like the harder and more international cousin of the Gothenburg pop. When they also build a song around the characters in The Godfather, they blow me away. And Then Came Cancer is without a doubt the best album any band from Borås ever recorded."

"'I know that your daddy don't approve / and I know that your mother hates us too', The High Hats sing before the football choir enters the chorus and state 'They don't know'. The truth is of course that no one in the family can avoid being charmed by their straightforward punkpop, which includes both stone hard riffs as friendly pop melodies."

"Even though it does not feel right to enjoy something that has come out of someone else's misery, you relly can't help it. The High Hats sound the best when they are far down at the bottom, when the chiors join in the misery Magnus sings about. It's so fucking captivating!"
